Examinations and Results

Overview

Manage assessments from unit tests through final results and report cards. Supports question banks, online exams (where enabled), and government/board report formats.

Who can use it

Before you start

  • [ ] Subjects assigned to class
  • [ ] Exam / unit defined for the academic year
  • [ ] Marking scheme (max marks, grades) configured

Create an exam or unit test

  1. Open Academic Master / Examination → Exam Master or Unit Test Setup.
  2. Select Academic Year, Class, Exam name, and dates.
  3. Link subjects and maximum marks.
  4. Save.

Enter marks

  1. Open Marks Entry / Result Entry for the exam.
  2. Select Class, Division, Subject, and Exam.
  3. Enter marks per student (or import from spreadsheet if enabled).
  4. Save. Repeat for each subject.

Online exams (optional)

If Online Exam is enabled:

  1. Configure exam under Online Exam Config.
  2. Assign question paper from Question Bank.
  3. Students attempt via student portal or dedicated exam URL.
  4. Review auto/manual scoring in result screens.

Generate report cards

  1. Open Report → Report Card (template varies by board).
  2. Select Exam, Class, Division.
  3. Preview grades, attendance summary, and remarks.
  4. Print or export PDF for distribution.

Tips

  • Lock result entry after publication to prevent accidental changes.
  • Validate grace marks and passing criteria before mass printing.
  • Coordinate with attendance % rules used on report cards.

Troubleshooting

Marks not showing on report card — Exam not linked to report template, or marks not saved for that subject.

Grade wrong — Check grade slab master for the academic year.
